One man was riding along on his motorcycle with a female passenger when they were involved in an accident. The accident was so severe that it killed the driver and injured the passenger, sending her to the hospital. The accident took place in Pinellas County.
The Treasure Island motorcycle accident happened when 63-year-old Michael Edward Hughes was operating his 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle and heading southbound when he suddenly, for unknown reasons, struck a guardrail around a curve. His passenger, 54-year-old Deanna Dora McDorman, was immediately ejected from the motorcycle and sustained severe injuries.
Hughes was pronounced dead as soon as he arrived at the hospital. McDorman, on the other hand, was rushed to the hospital and remains in serious condition. At this time, police are still investigating the incident that took place on the 400 block of Park Street around 11 p.m. last night.
