Pedestrian Crossed Road, Was Fatally Struck

A pedestrian lost his life in a fatal accident in Okaloosa County in today’s early morning hours. 

The man who lost his life was identified as 46-year-old Troy Edward Walter from Navarre. He was crossing an intersection when a vehicle suddenly struck him. Walter died from his injuries at the scene of the accident. Police said that alcohol was not a factor.

    Two people were taken to the hospital after a two-car accident in Sumter County on Saturday, November 30th. The crash was reported in the northbound lanes of I-75. According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, a driver was traveling on I-75 when they swerved to avoid crashing into another vehicle. After swerving, the vehicle lost control, rotating and collided with the left side of a second vehicle. The first vehicle then rolled over several times before coming to rest.     Three people were crossing the street on Cervantes Street when they were suddenly struck by a speeding vehicle. 8-month-old Neariaah Ikerria Williams and a family friend, 28-year-old Nephateria Monique, died at the scene.
