Valrico, FL (January 11, 2020) - A crash took place involving a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Deputy in Valrico on Friday night, near the Taco Bell on the 2200 block of State Road 60.
According to reports, a driver pulled out of the Taco Bell parking lot and struck a marked HCSO patrol car. At least one person suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash but the nature and extent of the injuries are not clear at this time.
Police did not specify whether the deputy or the other driver was hurt in the crash and neither party involved has been identified at this time.
There is no word on whether charges are expected. An investigation is ongoing at this time.

A 48-year-old man from Kissimmee died as a result of a hit-and-run crash on U.S. 192 near Siesta Largo Drive. The accident happened around 8:55 p.m. on Thursday, February 11th. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the Kissimmee man was attempting to cross U.S. 192 when he was hit by a sedan. The driver of the sedan fled the scene before officers could arrive. Rescue crews rushed the injured victim to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Troopers are searching for the sedan, which is believed to have damage to its left side.
