Vehicle-Bicycle Crash Leaves One Dead in Jacksonville

One person died in a vehicle-bicycle crash that happened at Beach Boulevard. The accident happened this morning at 6:40 a.m. when eastbound traffic was stopped at a red light. The accident took place at the intersection of Carmichael Drive. The bicycle continued north across the intersection and was struck by a driver in a Chevy Tahoe.
The driver of the Tahoe immediately slammed on his brakes and was struck by a Honda Civic traveling from behind. The elderly couple inside the vehicle reported minor injuries.

Daytona Beach, FL - Pedestrian in Serious Condition After Being Hit by Car on Nova Road
A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after she was hit by a car. The crash took place on Saturday, June 15th. According to reports from the Daytona Beach Police Department, 49-year-old Patricia Mortimer was crossing Nova Road when she was hit by a black Nissan Maxima. Mortimer was transported to Halifax Medical Center, where she has since been listed in serious condition. Traffic investigators arrived on the scene to look into the crash.
