58-year-old Victor Baradit Fernandez was arrested in the fatal striking of a 58-year-old woman in Osceola County. He left the scene of the fatal accident and was driving without a license at the time.
The woman, who was identified as Margarita Contreras, was pulled over after she was involved in an accident. She walked into the roadway to find her wallet when she was struck and died at the hospital. Fernandez kept driving, but a tip led police in his direction. When they discovered his vehicle, they found it in a mangled condition with a smashed windshield and dented hood. Without the tip, police aren’t sure if they would have discovered Hernandez.
