Fatal pedestrian crashes occur in Florida about twice per day. Each year, about 700 pedestrians will be killed in pedestrian incidents throughout our state. A pedestrian crash can take place very suddenly and without warning. Negligent drivers who fail to see or yield to pedestrians are frequent causes of crashes.
