Over 10,000 pedestrian accidents took place last year in the State of Florida. Approximately two people per day are killed in Florida pedestrian incidents. Our thoughts are with the family of Jimmy Garth in this time of tragedy.
Pedestrian accidents range from minor up to severe and even deadly. A close examination of the accident scene must be undertaken in order to determine who was at fault in a pedestrian crash. Some factors to consider are whether the pedestrian was in a marked area such as a crosswalk, whether the driver was distracted or impaired and whether any traffic laws were being violated at the time of the crash. If the driver is determined to be negligent, they can be held accountable for the pedestrian's injuries.
