The vehicle struck the right side of the semi-truck. The vehicle traveled under the trailer. The 25-year-old driver died at the scene of the accident. The semi-truck driver did not have injuries.

A passenger was killed when a car in which he was riding struck a tree on Sunday, April 21st. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to Landstar Boulevard at Island Cove Drive around 11:00 p.m. in reference to the crash. Troopers determined that 19-year-old Dalton McCall was driving a 2010 Hyundai when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of his vehicle and collided with a tree. McCall was not wearing his seat belt. He was taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. McCall's passenger was killed in the crash. The passenger was not immediately identified by police. Read more
