Andrea Tamara Williams, School Bus Driver, Collided With Candida Perez

A woman was taken to the hospital when her vehicle collided with a school bus on County Road 466. At the time of the incident, 53-year-old Andrea Tamara Williams was at the wheel of a school bus and driving northbound. She had a green light when her vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by 59-year-old Candida Perez.
Perez was westbound at the time and attempting to make a right turn when the collision happened. Her vehicle struck the rear tire of the school bus. At the time, there were 25 children on board the school bus. Luckily, none received injuries.
Perez was taken by ambulance to the hospital and charged with an improper lane change.

Sarasota, FL - Child Injures Knee When Car Collides with School Bus
A child suffered injuries in a school bus crash on Monday, April 15th. The crash happened in front of Wilkinson Elementary School. Police responded to Wilkinson Road in reference to the collision. Upon arrival, investigators were able to determine that the crash involved the school bus and a car. The car was traveling in front of the bus when it came to a stop and was rear-ended by the bus. There were 20 students on board at the time of the crash. One of the students was taken to the hospital for treatment of a knee injury. No one else on board was injured. Read more
