Ave Marie, FL (August 16, 2018) – An Ave Marie woman was killed in a dump truck accident when her vehicle crashed into a dump truck. She was identified as 54-year-old Sonia Matilde Velasquez, who died on Tuesday morning.
Velasquez was a long-time Ave Maria resident who taught Spanish part-time at Rhodora J. Donahue Academy. A pastor went to the crash site with her family on Tuesday to hold a prayer vigil.
