Bradenton, FL (February 12, 2019) - A crash on State Road 70 in Bradenton claimed two lives on Tuesday, February 12th. The crash took place just after 12:00 pm.
The Florida Highway Patrol investigated the accident. Troopers on scene reported that an 87-year-old woman was driving a Mazda when, for unknown reasons, she lost control of her vehicle. The Mazda crashed then crashed into another vehicle before colliding with a curb and other roadway structures until it finally came to rest.
Both the woman and her passenger, an 87-year-old man, were killed in the crash. The identity of the man and the woman were not released pending notification of their family. The driver of the second vehicle was not hurt in the accident.
No further information is available at this time.

Deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office were on the scene of a fatal accident at the intersection of Gatehouse Drive and Yamato Road on Monday, August 17th. The crash took place just before 4:00 p.m. Deputies received a call regarding a serious accident and quickly responded to the scene. Rescue crews also arrived to assist the injured victims. When officials got to the scene, they discovered that at least one person had died as a result of the crash. Police did not immediately release any details regarding the cause of the accident and the identity of the deceased victim is not available at this time.
