This week in Pasco County, one man died and a second man received serious injuries in a rear-end accident that happened in the morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The man who lost his life was identified as 27-year-old Brian Ray Baxter of Brooksville. He was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved.
Daniel Edmund Baxter, 34, was identified as the driver of the vehicle and was taken to a nearby medical center with serious injuries. The other driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the crash.
At the time, Daniel Baxter was driving along when he rear-ended an international semi tractor-trailer driven by John Edward Preston, aged 56. At the time, the semi was slowing down for other traffic and Baxter might not have been paying attention to this.
