Cape Canaveral, FL (July 9, 2021) - A passenger was taken to a hospital following a boat crash at Jetty Park in Cape Canaveral on Friday, July 9th. The crash took place around 5:30 a.m.
The Cape Canaveral Fire Department, along with the Brevard County Fire Rescue, Brevard County Sheriff's Office, and Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission all responded to the scene. According to a report, the crash took place near the rocks. One passenger suffered only minor injuries and was treated at the scene while a second passenger sustained more serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. The passenger's condition is not available at this time. There is no word on the cause of the accident and none of the victims have been identified.
An investigation is ongoing at this time.

Four cars were involved in a crash that took place in Orlando on Friday, July 3rd. The crash happened just before 2:00 a.m. at the intersection of Colonial Drive and Hiawassee Road. The Orange County Fire Rescue responded to the crash scene along with the Florida Highway Patrol. Rescue workers transported four victims to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. One person was taken to Advent Health with minor injuries. The crash appears to have been caused when one of the cars involved ran a red light. No further information has been released at this time.
