33-year-old Charles Frank Diiorio was driving his Chevrolet in Citrus County at the time of the accident that caused him serious injuries. He suddenly lost control in the accident, which caused him to veer into the center median. He drove back onto the paved portion of the road and overcorrected. The vehicle ran into the median and overturned.
When the vehicle overturned, Diiorio was ejected from inside. He also had a passenger with him, who was identified as 41-year-old Andre Romon Parrish. Diiorio and Parrish were both taken to Regional Medical Center in Hudson. Diiorio suffered critical injuries after the ejection.
The crash is still being investigated and charges are pending.
