Citrus County, FL (November 5, 2018) - An 81-year-old man is dead following a head-on crash that occurred on Sunday, November 4th.
Around 7:25 pm, Joseph Raquel was traveling eastbound of Gulf-to-Lake Highway when he struck a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Andrew Gilman head-on. Gilman was driving a Toyota Camry while Raquel was driving a Honda Odyssey. Raquel was sent to Citrus Memorial Hospital for treatment but later pronounced dead. Gilman sustained serious injuries in the crash and was also hospitalized.
The crash investigation remains ongoing. No further information is currently available.

A fatal crash was reported in Pensacola on Tuesday, October 16th. According to the Pensacola Police Department, the crash occurred at the intersection of Pace Boulevard and Cervantes Street. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered that a motorcycle and a car were involved in the accident. The intersection was closed for several hours while police worked at the site of the crash. There is no information on how the crash took place.
