Clearwater, FL (July 19, 2018) – When you think of accidents, you might think of those that happen on our roadways, but sometimes they take place in other areas. Because every accident is different, you need a legal advocate on your side for when you have been injured.
In Pinellas County, one man was arrested following a forklift incident when he used the forklift to stop his girlfriend from walking away after an argument. The man who was arrested was identified as 67-year-old Colin Showard. He got into an argument on the day in question with his girlfriend, Crystal Grimes.
Grimes attempted to leave in a vehicle, which is when Showard got into a forklift and pinned the vehicle up against a bus. When police came to the scene, Showard admitted to the crime and said that he wanted Grimes to leave his car behind.
Grimes was taken to the hospital with a back injury. Showard was arrested.
Over 250,000 people were injured on Florida roadways in 2017. These accidents take place for many reasons, many of which are due to the negligence of others. If you have been injured in an accident due to another party, our condolences are with you during this difficult time.
