A Cape Coral woman identified as 37-year-old Colleen Marie Mulder is facing six DUI-related charges after she caused an accident that left two pedestrians seriously injured. She now remains in Lee County Jail on a $17,500 bond. At the time of the accident, it was determined that Mulder had a blood alcohol level of .226.
Her charges include driving under the influence, two counts of DUI with serious bodily injury, and more.
At the time of the accident, Mulder was driving south in the 3000 block of Del Prado Boulevard. She rear-ended another vehicle, which forced that vehicle onto the sidewalk where it struck two pedestrians. Another vehicle collided with a street sign and stopped in a parking lot.
The pedestrians sustained life-threatening injuries and were transported to Lee Memorial Hospital. Mulder was arrested after showing signs of impairment.
