Cortez Road Accident Takes Life of One, Injures Two Others

A Cortez Road accident took place in Bradenton this weekend, killing one and injuring two others. The man who lost his life was identified as 86-year-old Arthur Owens, who was a passenger in a vehicle driven by his wife.
Paramedics and police responded to the crash that involved two vehicles. Apparently, Owens’ wife was driving her vehicle and made a U-turn while the light was green. However, she failed to yield to another vehicle that was coming her way, which caused the two to collide.
The driver of the other vehicle and Owens’ wife were taken to a hospital for treatment. The intersection was blocked for almost four hours while police investigated.
