A crane collapse sent workers scattering in St. Petersburg on Thursday. The crane nearly struck a man as it toppled over.
The St. Petersburg Police Department said in a tweet that nobody was injured and that the construction site didn’t suffer major damage. Surveillance cameras show how the crane starts to tip over and how workers attempt to flee, sending dust all over the site.
The crane was about 1,000 pounds. One operator was left injured, but we don’t know how severely. Somebody claimed that the operator inside at the time ‘limped away’ from the scene. The crane suffered damage.
