Officers are looking for a man in Sarasota who ran into the back of a man’s motorcycle, injuring him. The driver drove away from the scene and they were unable to locate him in relation to the hit-and-run accident.
Darin Hendrickson, the man who was injured on his motorcycle, says the incident occurred when he was on his way home and a driver in a gray Mazda 3 threw a metal object at him. It caused damage to his motorcycle. Darin Hendrickson planned to take a picture of the driver at a stop light and then call the cops.
Hendrickson started to make gestures at the driver to pull over, but the car quickly veered to the right and hit his motorcycle. Hendrickson’s arm was inside the window at the time. He left the scene with fractured ribs, gashes in his arms and legs, and road rash.
Another driver recorded the incident, hoping that it would find the driver who caused the damages and injuries to the rider.
