A woman from a Nassau County hit-and-run accident remains determined as she looks for a man who is responsible for hitting her vehicle. Dennise Orand lost both of her parents in car crashes only years apart.
When a driver hit her on US 1 County Road in October, she was determined to make him serve justice for the accident. She chased the man from Hilliard all the way to Charlton County. She knows that the name of the driver is Donald Chancey Jr. and that he was arrested on several driving charges, but this was before Nassau County deputies were able to pin him for hit-and-run.
Because the driver did not have car insurance at the time of the accident, Dennise Orand was left to pay her medical bills by herself. She not only wants the driver to be penalized for the accident but also see stricter penalties in general for drivers who hit vehicles and continue to drive.
