When somebody makes the reckless decision to get behind the wheel of a car while they are intoxicated, it can lead to devastating results. Many people die every year due to these horrific accidents that could have easily been prevented. Those who make it out alive can find themselves with catastrophic injuries. These cases sometimes become both civil and criminal matters as a result.
24-year-old Ryan Doolittle of Apopka was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk and crashing into 11 Porsche vehicles at a dealership in Maitland. He caused $100,000 in damages, according to deputies.
A deputy made the arrest the moment he smelled alcohol on Doolittle’s breath. Doolittle was taken to a hospital for treatment and then continued to threaten a nurse. He was then transported to jail.
