An accident left a female pedestrian dead in Tampa, Florida, that took place early this morning. Police were called to the scene around 5 a.m. at Broadway Avenue at Locicero Drive.
Firefighters arrived and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. As of now, she was not yet been identified.
The street was closed for quite some time while officers investigated but has since been reopened.

A 53-year-old motorcyclist from Titusville was killed in a crash involving a vehicle on Thursday, February 13th. The crash took place on State Road 50 around 9:20 p.m. According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, Derek Myers was riding a 2016 Zero westbound on SR 50 when he traveled through a green light on Avalon Boulevard. At the same time, 20-year-old Mary Evans was driving a 1998 Ford SUV in the opposite direction. Myers attempted to make a left turn against a red light, causing her vehicle to collide with the motorcycle. Myers was killed as a result of the crash. There were no other injuries reported.
