Five Injured in Cantonment Highway Crash Saturday Afternoon

Five injured in an accident in Cantonment yesterday afternoon were taken for treatment. Four of the people who suffered injuries were minors. The accident was a two-vehicle wreck.
The accident took place around 2:25 p.m. on Highway 29 in the Power Boulevard area. Florida Highway Patrol has not released any more information, but they are currently continuing their investigation.

Dunedin, FL - Cecilia Dassie Seriously Hurt in Pedestrian Crash on San Christopher Road
A woman from Dunedin suffered serious injuries when she was struck by an SUV when crossing the road in Pinellas County. The crash happened on Friday, February 14th around 6:50 p.m. Authorities responded to the scene at the intersection of San Christopher Drive and County Road 1. According to reports, Cecilia Escarlet Dassie, 79, was crossing San Christopher with a metal cart containing groceries. As she was crossing the road, she was struck by a 2007 Mercury Mariner that was turning westbound onto San Christopher. Dassie sustained serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. The driver of Mariner was not hurt. Read more
