Fort Lauderdale, FL (July 12, 2018) – A father and his two children received serious injuries and ended up in the hospital after a severe hit-and-run accident. A drunk driver struck them and then fled the scene in Fort Lauderdale.
The children’s mother, Claudia Martinez, says that she is still watching her family recover after the serious hit-and-run accident. The accident happened when the family was crossing the street and a BMW came out of nowhere, striking them. She said that every single one of them was hit, but the three were the most injured in the accident.
The children were identified as 4 and 5-year-olds. Witnesses said that the driver took off after he struck them, turning the wrong way onto a one-way street and striking another vehicle.
Luckily, the family members have since been released from the hospital.
However, police are still looking for the driver and investigating the accident thoroughly.
