Ilie Stefan, a 76-year-old, was killed in a two-car crash in Okaloosa County on Thursday afternoon. The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. when officials were called to the scene of a Volvo and freight truck accident.
Both vehicles were traveling west at the time with the Volvo behind the freight truck. The freight truck slowed down and made a right, but Stefan didn’t realize it and his Volvo hit the rear of the truck. They are not sure if he was wearing a seatbelt at the time.
Stefan was pronounced dead at the hospital due to the extent of his injuries.
