Jacksonville, FL (August 15, 2018) – A 32-year-old woman named Jamie Roque was killed in a McDonald’s drive-thru shooting on Friday. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene of the accident at 8590 Baymeadows Road.
The woman was quickly taken to the Memorial Hospital and was pronounced dead from her severe injuries at 9:20 a.m. She was the only person in the gray sedan when she was at the microphone of the drive-thru placing her order.
Police said that the suspect was a heavyset man who was last seen driving away in a sedan traveling eastbound on Baymeadows Road. They believe that the shooting was caught on camera and that there might have been a relationship between the suspect and the victim.
At this time, the owner and operator of McDonald’s sent thoughts and prayers to the victim’s loved ones and is working with law enforcement in the investigation to ensure the safety of all customers.
