The Florida Highway Patrol is looking into this accident and officials have not determined a cause at this time.
A fatal accident will be reported about every three hours in Florida. Head-on crashes are a major cause of many serious and fatal crashes. A head-on collision typically happens at high speed and gives the other driver little time to avoid the accident, thus causing more damage and, unfortunately, more frequent loss of life.
