Jacksonville, FL (June 19, 2018) – A Southside Boulevard crash took place in Jacksonville early Monday morning this week. A witness was on the scene and spoke to police about what he saw when it occurred.
The witness claimed that he heard about 12 shots of what he believed to be a weapon. He said that, after this, he and his housemates on campus heard the noise from two trees getting crashed into. He claimed that the incident took place around 1:40 a.m. when he was coming home from a movie.
The witness said that one person inside the vehicle was calling for help. At this time, they realized that a serious accident had taken place and called the police. Investigators then found the crash scene of the deadly Southside Boulevard crash.
The vehicle involved in the crash was traveling south on the roadway when it suddenly came under gunfire. This caused the vehicle to drive over two medians and then crash into the trees. The driver of the car was taken to the Memorial Hospital with injuries by somebody on the scene. He suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
After the crash, people in the area discovered that one person was killed in a nearby shooting and believe that the events are tied together. Investigators are now investigating.
With an auto accident taking place every 92 seconds, it is no surprise that many people in Florida wonder where they can turn after receiving car accident injuries.
