A bicyclist, 25-year-old Joshua Gilliard, was injured in an accident when he was struck by a pickup truck on his bicycle in Suwannee County. The accident happened around 12:30 p.m. at an intersection.
At the time, a Silverado truck was traveling north and tried to overtake a bicyclist in a no passing zone. The bicycle was struck in the back. Gilliard was injured and transported to UF Health Shands Hospital in serious condition. The truck driver wasn’t injured.
