An accident left one woman, Kristen Angel Martin, dead in Calhoun County. The accident also took the life of the driver in the accident, though he died in the hospital due to his injuries.
19-year-old Kristen Angel Martin was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Michael Lee Brincefield. At the time, Brincefield was driving a 1996 Chevy Prizm on State Road 71. He lost control of his vehicle and hit a fence, then a tree. Martin died at the scene, while Brincefield was taken to a hospital and succumbed to his injuries.
Neither was wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. Panama City Florida Highway Patrol is investigating and they are still unsure if alcohol was involved or not.
