Lake County, FL (December 15, 2018) - Two people were killed in a head-on crash in Lake County on Friday, December 14th. The crash happened around 4:30 pm on County Road 439 at Brookside Drive.
The Florida Highway Patrol was called to respond to the crash scene. Troopers say that 20-year-old Madison Coleman was traveling northbound when he attempted to pass other vehicles traveling in the same direction. His car drifted into the southbound lane where he collided with another vehicle driven by 50-year-old Jose Antonio Magallanes Sandoval. Both Coleman and Sandoval died at the scene of the crash.
The accident is still under investigation at the time. The roadway was wet at the time of the crash but it is unclear whether the road conditions played a role in the accident.
