Lee County, FL (January 25, 2020) - The Lee County Sheriff's Office was on the scene of a crash on the Bonita Beach Causeway near Lovers Key State Park on Friday, January 24th.
According to deputies, two vehicles were involved in the crash. Rescue workers arrived at the scene and rushed the injured victims to a local hospital. The jaws of life were used to extricate one person from their vehicle. There is no information on the cause of the accident and the conditions of the victims are not available at this time.
No additional details are available at this time.
Police will continue to investigate this incident.

Three vehicles, including two-tractor trailers were involved in a crash that took place in Tallahassee on Monday, July 7th. The crash was reported in the eastbound lanes of I-10 near mile marker 199. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. According to FHP, a 38-year-old male was driving a tractor-trailer eastbound on I-10. At the same time, a second tractor-trailer was also traveling eastbound on I-10 directly in front of the first truck. An SUV was traveling eastbound on I-10 directly beside the second truck. The driver of the first tractor-trailer lost control of his truck for unknown reasons and collided with the back of the second truck. The SUV was hit from behind and veered across the eastbound lanes before coming to rest against a concrete barrier. Read more
