Two jet skis collided with one another yesterday afternoon near the Courtney Campbell Causeway. The call came in around 3:15 p.m. to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
There was a woman involved in the accident who received serious back injuries. She was quickly transported to the Bayfront Medical Center for treatment for her injuries and is listed in stable condition at this time.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
Accidents happen on our waterways every day in Florida, as many people are out for recreational purposes and more. In 2017, one of the leading causes of these accidents was the operator’s inattention to maintain a proper lookout on the water. We want to extend our condolences to you if you have been involved in one of these accidents.
