We would like to extend our condolences to the family of the victim in this fatal pedestrian crash. On average, two pedestrians will lose their lives in crashes across our state every day. The numbers behind pedestrian crashes show that a pedestrian accident is highly likely to result in serious injury and even death. About three-quarters of all pedestrian crashes will result in a trip to the ER for the victim; about one-quarter of those will require extended hospitalization for serious injuries.
If you have been injured in a pedestrian that you do not believe was your fault, it is important to contact an experienced attorney to protect your legal rights. In our state, pedestrians who are hurt by the negligence of a driver may have the right to file a personal injury claim to receive compensation. These cases can be complicated, however, and should only be handled by an experienced attorney.
