Leon County, FL - Zachary Sheldon Killed in Highway 90 Pedestrian Crash

Leon County, FL (April 6, 2020) - A 24-year-old man was killed in a crash that took place in Leon County on Monday, April 6th. The crash was reported around 12:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 90 near Wadesboro Road.
According to reports, 24-year-old Zachary Winston Sheldon was walking northbound on U.S. 90 when he was hit by a Mercedes C Class. Sheldon crashed through the windshield of the vehicle before the car came to a controlled stop. He died at the crash scene. The Mercedes driver was not immediately identified and was not injured in the crash.
An investigation is ongoing at this time and charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
