Lehigh Acres, FL (September 10, 2018) - A two vehicle crash on Monday morning sent 10 people to the hospital. The crash happened when a truck and van collided with one another at State Road 82 and Columbus Boulevard.
The impact of the collision sent both vehicles into a canal. A total of eight passengers between ages 22 and 49 were in the van at the time of the crash. Seven passengers suffered critical or serious injuries and only one suffered minor injuries. Two passengers in the truck were seriously hurt. The injured victims were transported to Lee Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.
There is no word at this time on the exact cause of the accident. No charges have been issued but an investigation remains ongoing.
