A Manatee County School bus with students on board was involved in a crash on Tuesday morning. The school bus was driven by a 56-year-old woman from Ellenton.
The bus was transporting eight people, including some students, at the time. The bus prematurely accelerated forward and hit the rear of a GMC in front of it. None of the bus passengers involved in the accident sustained injuries. The 37-year-old driver of the GMC, however, reported minor injuries.
The bus driver received a ticket for careless driving.
