Manatee, FL (November 9, 2019) - A 29-year-old man from Palmetto, FL died in a crash along I-75 on Friday, November 8th. The crash took place in the southbound lanes of the highway around 7:35 a.m.
According to police reports, Christopher Paul Garcia was traveling in the southbound lanes when a vehicle switched lanes in front of him. Garcia was driving a 2001 Toyota 4 Runner. The 4 Runner collided with the left rear of the other car and then struck a third vehicle ahead of him. The 4 Runner spun around before coming to rest in the median of the roadway. Rescue workers pronounced Garcia dead as a result of his injuries. There is no word on whether any other injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
