Marion County, FL (October 6, 2019) - A man was killed in a crash that took place in Marion County on Saturday, October 5th. The crash happened at the intersection of Northeast 25th Avenue and State Road 326.
According to reports, two vehicles were involved in the crash. The injured victim was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center where he died from his injuries. He has not been identified at this time. There is no word on whether the other driver was hurt. The Florida Highway Patrol is in charge of the crash investigation.
Police are still looking into the accident at this time.

According to the Alachua County Sheriff's Office, a call came in for assistance at 7:47 am. The call was in reference to an injured pedestrian. A 35-year-old man is dead after a hit-and-run crash in Jacksonville on Friday, February 8th. Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol say that Richard Wilson, Jr. was walking along the shoulder of Main Street and Kirk Road when he was struck by a dark blue 2014 Ford truck. Wilson suffered catastrophic injuries and was pronounced dead. The driver of the truck fled immediately after striking Wilson, however, troopers were able to locate the vehicle a short distance away from the crash site. Charges against the driver are now pending. At this time, it is not clear why the driver left the roadway and struck Wilson but an investigation is ongoing. Read more
