Marion County, FL (September 28, 2019) - A crash on County Road 42 left one person dead and another injured on Friday, September 27th. The crash took place in the westbound lanes of the roadway.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 31-year-old Abigail Ortega Morales was traveling westbound when he attempted to make a lane change. Morales failed to make the change properly and struck the rear of a second vehicle. Morales then continued driving before striking a second vehicle. Following the second collision, his car veered off the roadway and hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at the crash scene. A passenger in the second vehicle also received injuries and was taken to a local hospital. No one else was hurt.

A dozen cars were involved in a pile up on I-95 in St. Johns County. The crash happened on Monday, November 12th. Around 3:00 pm the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the accident scene in the southbound lanes of the highway. When they arrived, they found a very large crash scene involving 12 vehicles. Multiple injuries were reported in the accident. Although there is no word on the full nature of the injuries sustained, none of them are believed to be life-threatening. Police have not said how the accident took place. The southbound lanes of I-95 were affected by the crash but eventually returned to normal traffic flow later in the afternoon. Read more
