Approximately 500 motorcyclists lose their lives due to Florida motorcycle crashes every year. Motorcycles by proportion are the deadliest vehicles in our state, accounting for about 15% of a fatal traffic accidents reported on our roadways. This is despite the fact that motorcycles make up only about 3% of all registered motor vehicles. Other motorists are often responsible for these crashes as they fail to see or yield to motorcyclists until it is too late.
Our sympathies go out to the family of Bronson Austria.
