Melrose, FL - One Dead, Two Injured in Crash on County Road 219

Melrose, FL (January 16, 2019) – A single-car crash in Melrose on Tuesday, January 15th left one person dead and two others hurt.  The Florida Highway Patrol says that 41-year-old Drew Blair was driving southbound on County Road 219. 

Blair’s vehicle ran off the roadway and into the grass.  As he attempted to correct the vehicle, it spun out of control and crashed into a tree.  The vehicle then came to rest.  Blair suffered critical injuries and died in the crash.  A 5-year-old child in the car sustained minor injuries, while the adult passenger was seriously hurt and transported to UF Health Shands in Gainesville.
