Naples, FL - Bicyclist Hurt in Crash on Tamiami Trail

Naples, FL (October 30, 2020) - A bicyclist suffered injuries after being hit by a car in Naples on Friday, October 30th. The incident occurred around 3:50 p.m. on Tamiami Trail near the intersection with 107th Avenue North.
The Floria Highway Patrol was called to the accident scene just after the crash occurred. At this time, there are no details on how the accident took place. Police and rescue crews were on the scene for several hours investigating the accident and clearing the crash scene.
An investigation is ongoing at this time. There is no additional information available.

Sarasota, FL - Serious Injuries Reported in Crash on Bee Ridge Rd.
Police in Sarasota responded to the scene of a major car accident on Friday afternoon. The collision took place on Bee Ridge Road near the intersection of S. Tamiami Trail. Rescue workers also arrived shortly after the accident occurred. There were serious injuries reported in the accident, however, there is no information on the events that led up to the collision. The identities of the victims have not been released at this time. The crash caused the closure of the westbound lanes of Bee Ridge Road.
