Naples, FL (March 7, 2019) - A crash on Oil Well Road near Desoto Boulevard caused injuries for at least one person on Thursday, March 7th.
Deputies with the Collier County Sheriff's Office were called to the scene for assistance. Rescue workers were also on scene in the aftermath of the crash. The accident involved two vehicles. No details were immediately released on the cause; however, at least one person suffered injuries. The accident led to authorities issuing a trauma alert.
Police remained on scene until just after 6:00 p.m. No further details are available at this time.

A 67-year-old woman was killed in a crash that took place early Monday morning in Sumter County. The accident took place around 4:45 a.m. on Interstate 75 near mile marker 319. According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, a man from Riverview was driving a vehicle that was pulling a motor home when traffic slowed in front of him. The 93-year-old man failed to slow down and collided with the back of a car driven by the 67-year-old woman. The woman, who is from Brandon, was taken to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Her name has not been released at this time.
