Orlando, FL (December 5, 2018) - Police in Orlando say that a man is dead after trying to cross Orange Blossom Trail on his scooter. The crash occurred on Monday, December 3rd around 8:50 pm.
According to officials, the man was riding the scooter eastbound near the intersection with Americana Boulevard. A Honda Civic traveling northbound struck the man at the intersection. The Florida Highway Patrol was called to the scene to investigate. The scooter rider was pronounced dead on the scene.
FHP continues to investigate. They have not identified the deceased victim and are still in the process of determining who was at fault for the crash. No further information is available.

The Florida Highway Patrol was called to the scene of an injury crash on Emerson Road in Hernando County. The crash was reported on Saturday, March 14th around 9:45 p.m. Troopers were on the scene just after 10:00 p.m. The collision took place near the intersection with Cortez Boulevard. At least one person was injured in the accident but there is no word on the extent of the injuries. No details on the cause of the crash were released by authorities.
