Orlando, FL (July 3, 2018) – In Orlando on Saturday, a military veteran was struck by two women who were trying to get away with Victoria’s Secret merchandise that they stole. The man who tried to stop them was identified as Brent Adams.
Adams had just pulled into the parking lot at the Waterford Lakes Town Center around 2 p.m. when he noticed that there were two women running with clothing in their hands. The two girls came flying out of the store and saw Adams approaching their vehicle. One of the women opened her door and sprayed him with pepper spray. He was able to turn his head in time.
The women were identified as 25-year-old Rosciara Pugh and 27-year-old Ta’quieta Pugh. They were filling shopping bags without intent to buy the merchandise. An employee was able to knock one of the bags out of their hands when she was also pepper-sprayed.
Adams then stood in front of their vehicle, which they struck him with. He said that they ran him over and hit his knees so hard that it put him onto their hood. He withdrew his firearm and waited until deputies were able to arrive.
Both women were arrested for their crimes. Adams received minor injuries but is expected to be okay after his heroic acts.
