Orlando, FL (June 25, 2018) – Officials responded to a scene this past weekend in Orlando that sent both a father and a son to the hospital. The Orlando ambulance accident happened when an ambulance driver left the two with severe injuries, which took place on East Smith Street.
The accident took place near North Orange when a father was reportedly taking his son to school in their gray Corolla. They were suddenly struck by an ambulance. The ambulance was responding to an accident that happened on the same street at that time. He suddenly lost control of the vehicle and veered out of his lane, striking the Toyota head-on.
Emergency responders arrived after the accident and administered first aid to the victims before they were transferred to the Florida Hospital Health Village. They claimed that the father had a broken leg and the son sustained leg injuries, as well as a traumatic brain injury. Though their current conditions have not been released to the public, they are expected to recover.
The driver of the ambulance also suffered injuries that were minor in nature. He was treated at the scene. He was taken into custody following the accident.
