Orlando, FL (August 8, 2018) – In Orlando, two pedestrians were struck and seriously injured this morning when they were crossing the street on State Road 436 in Orange County. They were identified as 28-year-old Joseph Finnegan and 21-year-old Kristina Dennis from New Jersey.
The crash was reported around 3:15 a.m. this morning near University Boulevard in Orlando. A 34-year-old Sanford man was driving his 2005 Toyota on SR 436 when he hit the pedestrians. The victims were transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center.
The driver of the vehicle, whose last name has been identified as Singh, said that he had a green light and that the two pedestrians were not in the crosswalk at the time. The pedestrians, however, both said that they were indeed in the crosswalk.
There were no witnesses to the accident, and it is still under investigation at this time.
