Osceola County, FL (November 28, 2019) - A crash on US 192 left two people dead in Osceola County on Wednesday, November 27th. The crash happened around 7:40 p.m. near Alligator Lake.
According to Lt. Kim Montes of the Florida Highway Patrol, a 75-year-old woman was traveling eastbound on US 192 in a four-door Ford. The woman attempted to make a left turn onto Old Melbourne Highway. The woman turned in front of a westbound Ford van and the two vehicles collided with one another. The crash resulted in the death of both the 75-year-old driver as well as a 74-year-old man who was also in the same vehicle. The driver of the Ford van was taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
The crash caused the road to be closed for several hours while troopers were at the scene. An investigation is ongoing at this time.

Fatal accidents occur in Florida approximately once every three hours. Police will continue to investigate this crash and will determine the cause and contributing factors. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a hit-and-run crash in Brevard County. The accident happened on Valkaria Road around 7:10 p.m. Troopers arrived at the scene around 8:10 p.m. According to reports, at least one person was injured in the accident. The driver who caused the crash fled the scene before police arrived. There are few details on how the crash took place and there is no update on the condition of the injured victim.
